WATERMRK STUDIOS represents the creative works of Michael Ryan Kravetsky. Michael’s first official photo pass was given to him by Team Chris Cornell in 2011. Michael was selected as the winner of a photo contest he entered (to be able to photograph Chris on tour) and was given a photo pass to capture the evening for The Chris Cornell website & social platforms.
Shortly after that (in honor of his dad who had recently passed away) Michael launched WATERMRK Studios (2012), based in Monmouth County, NJ. Since his first official gig in 2011 Michael has had the pleasure of working with Blind Melon, Chris Cornell, G. Love, The Smashing Pumpkins, Langhorne Slim, Citizen Cope, Hamilton Leithauser, The Tangiers Blues Band, Brookdale Public Radio, Start Making Sense (Talking Heads Tribute), Asbury Park Music & Film Festival, and the Sea Hear Now Music Festival; providing photographs for their marketing and social platforms. Michael also enjoys going to local venues to capture the passionate local musicians in the Asbury Park, NYC, and Philly music scene.
Michael’s photographs have been featured in Rolling Stone Magazine, Variety, The New York Times, The New Yorker, The Daily News, Time Out NY, The Asbury Park Press, Artists Websites & National Marketing Campaigns.
Michael received his BFA, from the SUNY Purchase School of Art + Design, in 2002.
